Dice roller

Roll up to six dice with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 20 sides. Great for maths games, probability and board-game days.

Press Roll.

Fair dice for any lesson

Rolls use your browser's secure random number generator, so every face is equally likely. That makes it a handy way to introduce probability, generate random numbers for a maths task, or replace the dice you can never find when you need them.

Ideas for using it

Roll two dice and add them for number bonds, roll a d20 to pick a question number, or roll a handful of dice and let pupils estimate the total before they see it. The history strip shows your last rolls, so you can talk about patterns and streaks.

No sign-up, nothing stored

It all runs in your browser and works offline once the page has loaded.

Is it truly random?

Yes. It uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator with no bias.

Can I roll different kinds of dice together?

Not in one go. Roll one type, then change the sides and roll again; the history keeps the earlier results visible.

What is a d20?

A twenty-sided die, common in board games. The d-number is just the number of sides.
