Make a new set of groups

Friendship groups and the same few pairings can limit what pupils get from group work. A random shuffle mixes the room quickly, and you can press Make groups again for a different split if a particular combination won't work.

Two ways to split the class

Choose Number of groups if you have a fixed set of tables or roles (say, six groups). Choose Group size if you want pairs, threes or fours and don't mind how many groups that makes. Any left-over pupils are spread across the groups so no one is on their own.

Copy it onto the board

Use Copy as text to paste the groups into a slide, a document or a message. Nothing is stored on a server, and your list stays in your browser.

How are leftover pupils handled?

They are shared out one at a time, so group sizes never differ by more than one.

Can I make pairs?

Yes. Choose Group size and set it to 2.

Is the class list kept private?

Yes. It never leaves your browser unless you copy it yourself.
